There was also the desire of creating an orchestra that would be able of coping with the musical wishes of everyone. <br /> The time had finally come in 1964: Prof. Karl Gradwohl as chair man and Prof. Eduard Ehrenreich as musical director founded the  Kammerorchester Joseph Haydn Eisenstadt . This orchestra has committed itself to the care of orchestra music, especially the works of Joseph Haydn, and the advancement of young musicians. The orchestra started to develop because of the support of political representatives of the country and had a permanently increasing enlargement of its repertoire. </p></td> <td width="25">&nbsp;</td> <td width="333" valign="top"><p> Under the direction of the later chair men Kurt Gradwohl, Rudolf Morawitz, Julius Lentsch, Dr. Roland Graschitz, the musical director Mag. Wolfgang Lentsch (since 1981) and the committed and competent concertmaster Mag.<span style="font-size:65%; vertical-align:super; line-height:50%;">a</span> Johanna Ensbacher, the ensemble reached a high artistic level and was able to rehearse and perform compositions in great instrumentations, such as &bdquo;Messiah&rdquo; by Händel, &bdquo;The creation&rdquo; and &bdquo;The seasons&rdquo; by Haydn, &bdquo;Carmina Burana&rdquo; by Orff, Verdi´s &bdquo;Requiem Mass&rdquo;, Mendelssohn´s &bdquo;Elias&rdquo;, the great symphonies of classic and romance, as well as works of contemporary composers of the Burgenland, like Jenö Takacs and Otto Strobl.<br /> Now the name of the orchestra was not up to the actual conditions anymore. Therefore, there was a change of the name in February 2008 through the general assembly into &bdquo;Haydnorchester Eisenstadt&rdquo;. To manage the skills of the orchestra, for the first time a woman was at the top of the association.
